About The Bubble EmporiumThe Bubble Emporium is based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, UK; it is a small home based business which sells its products through the online shop. It was started initially because I had a need for soap that didn't irritate my own skin. I found that most of the soap products that were on sale included chemicals that were too harsh for me. This is because most commercially bought soaps have the glycerin removed from them, which is then sold on and used for other purposes. SLS and SLES which are two of the harsher foaming additives are then added to give the bars a decent foaming quality. That is what I am allergic to, it doesn't agree with my skin at all, so I started on my own journey to source some nice soap that I could use, as I was fed up of buying run of the mill simple soaps. I wanted to be like everyone else and be able to have some fragrance in a bar that was kind to my skin too. This was the start of The Bubble Emporium soap company. I have included soaps that are suitable for sensitive skins, in soap bars and moulded designs, and offer some allergen free fragrance oils. The handmade soaps are vegetable glycerin based which is proven to lock moisture into the skin, meaning that our soaps will moisturise whilst gently cleansing, leaving your skin soft, nourished and delicately scented.We can make up special orders for wedding favours in your desired colour schemes. As an addition to our fresh handmade service, we have now introduced a natural handmade soaps section. These handmade soaps are made in the old fashioned way from vegetable oils and butters, then cured for a number of weeks to harden and grow milder. They are excellent soaps with great lather and very good for your skin. These are made in small batches and will be offered on the website when available and ready for sale under natural handmade soaps on the menu. Please be assured that none of our handmade to order products are tested on animals, are cruelty free and most are suitable for vegetarians/ vegans. All are safety assessed and certified to sell within the EU. This means that the ingredients, manufacturing and recipes have all been checked, and are safe for use. These are done by a fully qualified toxicologist chemist. I don’t think that it is generally known that to be able to legally sell such products as bath bombs, soaps etc that it must meet certain legislative guidelines; the reason being is public safety. This legislation sets the standard and ensures that all toiletry items are safe to use on the body this protects the public and the soap maker. Please ensure that you buy your products from someone who complies within these guidelines for your own safety. Since starting out the business has naturally evolved and is constantly changing and we have now introduced some bought in products alongside to offer you a larger selection Including gifts, scented candles, bathbombs and we will continue to search and source more products that we think you may be interested in.
