As you probably are aware my handmade soap website isn't that old, and I expect as time goes on it will continue to grow as there are many items and ranges that I want to include. I have so many ideas in my head that will bring some unique soaps

Natural soap making can be traced back more than 1000 years BC, so it is a genuine age old method, although I guess it was a much cruder soap as it was done on the fire embers with oils and animal fats. When you hear of Natural soap making it will either be cold process or hot process that will be used, both methods use exactly the same ingredients and basically the only difference is that with the cold process version, because there is no heat source, it has to sit longer to cure and dry out for around 4 to 6 weeks. This is not the case if hot process is used as the application of a heat source

Most of the soap bars that you can buy at the local shop, supermarket’s or anywhere commercially are not traditional soap as we know it, they are actually synthetic detergents that have been perfected over the years to give a great lather, but this is done in an artificial manner using detergent's and foamer's that will cause skin complaints and irritations.

We have just arrived back from our holiday in Cornwall, we really enjoyed ourselves and had a well earned very restful break. It was spoilt somewhat by a couple of days of torrential rain, so we were stuck in the campsite during that time with little to do as we were unable to get out and about much due to us having our dog with us, and they don't let dog's in many places indoors.  We camped near the place where Doc Martin was filmed, so just had to go and have a look at the lovely coastline and  the places that have become so well known in the series, I highly recommend it.  On one of the nicer days were travelled quite a way to see some gorgeous gardens, the visit was inspired by the fact they let dogs in, it was a nice place to have a stroll around and they had a soap making  workshop.
